Laid his academic foundation at the Cross River State School of Basic Studies, Akamkpa, then graduated from Government Secondary School, Ikom.
MB;BS, University of Benin
Earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the School of Medicine, College of Medical Sciences, University of Benin — the formal start of his medical career.
Residency at UCTH
Completed a Postgraduate Residency Training at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, building his expertise in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.
Fellowship, National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu
Completed the Residency Part II Fellowship Examination in Orthopaedics, and went on to become a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and the International College of Surgeons (FICS).
Head, Orthopaedics & Traumatology
Returned to the University of Calabar as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and rose to Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, known for discipline, generosity, and a commitment to excellence beyond the operating room.
